<image:title>Ovens - Infrared ovens</image:title>
<image:caption>Process flexibility, long service life and exceptional energy efficiency. The infrared energy is absorbed by the coating on the substrate first without having to wait for the mass of the substrate to reach the curing temperature. This allows the paint to cure more quickly. Gas infrared ovens can cure paints up to 10 times faster than convection which leads to cost savings on energy usage, smaller oven footprint, and increased production.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ovens - COMBINATION INFRARED/ CONVECTION OVENS</image:title>
<image:caption>The combination of the technologies delivers enhanced results for powder coaters and facilities that process a variable mix of parts. In a combination oven, the infrared portion of the oven gels, or sets, the powder coating ahead of the convection oven portion. This accelerates the convection soak portion that completes the cure. The infrared energy used in this ramp-up zone also prevents powder loss by gelling the finish before it can be disturbed by the air turbulence in the convection section. It can also help to prevent cross-contamination in facilities that use more than one color of powder.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ovens - convection ovens</image:title>
<image:caption>Manufacturers look to CIS convection ovens as a leading choice for the uniform, efficient cure of solvent and waterborne coatings and adhesives. Convection ovens provide an excellent, highly consistent cure for powder coatings. Convection ovens distribute heat evenly, and are well-suited to parts with complex shapes. Heat energy is moderate, rather than high intensity, so convection is compatible with many substrates.</image:caption>

<image:caption>They can be infrared or convection ovens that are used for preheating, drying, and curing. Preheat ovens prepare various metals, plastics, wood, medium density fiberboard or other substrates for your coating or adhesive process. Drying ovens help eliminate water or moisture accumulated during the pre-treatment washing process. Cure ovens help alleviate the part and coating temperature to achieve the desired coating cure characteristics. Batch ovens are ideal for small applications or job shops doing a variety of smaller parts with multiple configurations.</image:caption>

<image:title>Heaters - how Infrared heat works</image:title>
<image:caption>CIS gas catalytic heaters offer unique features when compared to other heating technologies. Unlike traditional gas heaters, CIS gas catalytic heaters burns the gas at significantly lower temperature to provide uniformed, controlled results every time. The radiant energy emitted by the CIS heaters is a long wave length infrared energy, which is more readily absorbed by most materials than the shorter wave energy used by many competitive systems, thus assuring lower operating cost and faster cures. Multiple heater sizes allows configurations to process virtually any shape or size of products to be cured.</image:caption>

<image:title>Heaters</image:title>
<image:caption>CIS catalytic heaters requires both electricity and gas to operate. Electric power is required to preheat the heater. During startup, the enclosed electric heating element (ITEM E) is turned on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once the catalyst has been preheated, gas can be introduced via the safety valve (not labeled) to begin the catalytic heating process. Gas enters the heater via the dispersion tube assembly (ITEM B) and is dispersed by the dispersion screen (ITEM C). The gas diffuses through the insulation (ITEM D) to come in contact with the catalyst (ITEM G) to initiate the catalytic reaction. Infrared energy is emitted and the only byproducts of the catalytic reaction are CO2 and water vapor. The thermocouple is used to control the safety valve or the gas solenoid valve. If the catalyst falls below safe operating temperature, the thermocouple will shut off the gas valve to prevent gas from being emitted.</image:caption>

<image:title>Liquid Coating - liquid coatings</image:title>
<image:caption>Catalytic industrial infrared ovens have long been a leading choice for the uniform, efficient cure of solvent and waterborne coatings and adhesives. Gas infrared cures both solvent and water based coatings up to 10 times faster than conventional drying. Our customers see increased production, reduced oven footprint and savings on utility costs. Catalytic industrial infrared ovens distribute heat evenly, and are well-suited to parts with complex shapes. Heat energy is moderate, rather than high intensity, so convection is compatible with many substrates.</image:caption>

<image:title>Liquid Coating - solvent based paints</image:title>
<image:caption>Solvents contain higher levels of organic compounds compared to water-based coatings. When these compounds evaporate, they release Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) into the atmosphere resulting in a strong odor and toxic impact on the environment. Solvent-based paints typically requires some sort of flash. Solvents need to be released before entering the final cure oven, to prevent solvent pop or bubbles from forming. Catalytic Industrial infrared ovens can reduce or eliminate these common conditions by curing from the inside out.</image:caption>

<image:title>Liquid Coating - Water Based Paints</image:title>
<image:caption>Advances in paint technology mean that water-based paints are in many ways equal, or superior to their solvent-based counterparts. Water-based coatings have moved into the industrial applications, including maintenance coatings for steel and concrete. Water readily absorbs infrared radiant energy at 3, 4.5 and 6 microns wavelength. Thus, gas catalytic IR is a perfect fit for curing water-based coatings. CIS heaters generate “far infrared” with the wavelength of 3 to 7 microns. When curing water based coatings the catalytic infrared will target the water in the paint and evaporate it much faster than conventional ovens.</image:caption>

<image:title>Powder Coating - About Powder coatings</image:title>
<image:caption>Powder coating is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The most common types are Epoxy resin, Polyester, and TGIC powders. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset. polymer. Manufacturers utilizing powder coating will require an oven to cure the coating. CIS infrared ovens are ideal for powder coating applications including gelling, whole curing, or used as a booster in combination with a convection oven.</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f6b5fd511421434dc98ab0b/1604086963541-75O2140KKAA46KRWOJ4U/Central+Malony+conv.JPG</image:loc>
<image:title>Powder Coating - COMBINATION INFRARED/ CONVECTION OVENS</image:title>

<image:title>About - Flameless, Efficient & safe</image:title>
<image:caption>CIS catalytic heaters emits heat in the form of FAR infrared energy, which can be more readily absorbed by most materials. The intensity of the infrared energy varies with the square of the distance and travels until it is absorbed. The flameless infrared is emitted at a lower temperature than flame temperature. The wavelength of the infrared energy emitted is readily absorbed by most coatings whether liquid or powder to deliver a faster cure. Catalytic heaters differ from conventional heating with the introduction of the catalyst. Normal ignition temperature of natural gas in air is approximately 1260°F. In the presence of a catalyst, the reaction occurs with sufficient velocity to begin an oxidation reduction reaction which creates infrared energy. As long as the fuel gas and oxygen is supplied, the flameless catalytic reaction will continue releasing the energy in the form of infrared. The heater will emit infrared energy with the heater face temperature between 800°F and 900°F.</image:caption>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>CIS catalytic heaters requires both electricity and gas to operate. Electric power is required to preheat the heater. During startup, the enclosed electric heating element (ITEM E) is turned on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once the catalyst has been warmed up, gas can be introduced via the safety valve (not labeled) to begin the catalytic heating process. Gas enters the heater via the dispersion tube assembly (ITEM B) and is dispersed by the dispersion screen (ITEM C). The gas diffuses through the insulation (ITEM D) to come in contact with the catalyst (ITEM G) to initiate the catalytic reaction. Infrared energy is emitted out along with CO2 and water vapor. The thermocouple is used to control the safety valve or the gas solenoid valve. If the catalyst falls below safe operating temperature, the thermocouple will shut off the gas valve to prevent gas from being emitted.</image:caption>
